The Small Print

Privacy & cookies

This page explains, in plain English, what happens with your data when you visit That Grandma Life. The short version: we use a small amount of analytics and advertising measurement, and we never sell your data to anyone.

Cookies and tracking

This site may set cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement. Here's what that looks like in practice:

  • Tags load lazily. Analytics and advertising scripts only load after the page has finished rendering — they never slow down what you came here to read.
  • You can opt out. Browser settings, content blockers and private browsing modes all prevent these tags from loading, and the site works exactly the same without them. Clearing your cookies for thatgrandmalife.com removes anything already set.
  • Nothing is sold. Any data collected is used to understand readership and measure advertising — never sold or shared beyond the providers named below.

Analytics

When enabled, we use Google Analytics to understand which posts people find useful: things like page views, roughly where visitors come from, and what gets read most. It helps us write more of what's genuinely helpful. This information is aggregated; we're not peering at individuals.

Advertising pixels

The site may load Meta (Facebook) advertising pixels. The pixel used is selected based on your general region — for example, visitors in the US may be matched with a different pixel than visitors elsewhere. These pixels help measure whether any advertising we run actually works. If your browser blocks them, everything on the site still works.

Affiliate links

Some posts contain affiliate links. If you buy something through one of them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The retailer may know you arrived from this site, but we don't receive any personal information about you or your purchase. We only link to things we'd genuinely recommend to family.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your personal data. Ever.
  • We don't run accounts or comment forms that collect your details.
  • We don't collect anything beyond the analytics and measurement described above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know what information is held about you, to opt out of tracking, and to ask for data to be deleted. Since this site doesn't collect or store personal details itself, the simplest way to exercise most of these rights is your browser settings — but you're always welcome to get in touch.

Questions?

If anything here isn't clear, or you'd like to ask about your data, pop over to the About page and get in touch — we'll always do our best to help.
