If you want a line with real age behind it, the Book of Proverbs has one. In the King James Version, Proverbs 17:6 begins: “Children’s children are the crown of old men.” It is about grandchildren in general rather than granddaughters, and it says old men, but plenty of grandmothers write it in a card anyway and sign it with a wink.

How to make a quote sound like you
